Mărțișor Clover

The Mărțișor is an ancient tradition with deep roots in history and culture 📜 Initially, it was worn as an amulet to bring good luck, health, and protection. Today, it is also a symbol of friendship, love, and appreciation, especially given to women on March 1st 🎁.

In ancient times, the Mărțișor was made from one white and one red thread, twisted together, sometimes tied to a coin, and worn around the neck or on the wrist at the start of March.

🔴 The red thread – represents life, blood, love, energy, and the power of the sun.

⚪ The white thread – symbolises purity, light, wisdom, and the retreating winter. The twisting of the two threads represents the balance between life and nature, between winter and spring, and between good and hard times.

It is believe that wearing the Mărțișor brings good luck, health, and protection to the person who wears it.

Since 2017, the Mărțișor has been included in UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list as a symbol of cultural identity and continuity.

A simple yet meaningful custom that heralds hope and new beginnings 🌱❤️
